LENOIR, N.C. — Upholstery and case goods resource Bernhardt Furniture has promoted Harland Dick and Roger Turnbow and hired Marc Abrams for key management posts in its upholstery division.
Dick is the new executive vice president of upholstery, while Turnbow has been promoted to vice president of upholstery merchandising.
Abrams, meanwhile, has been named vice president of residential upholstery sales.
Dick, who will oversee all areas of the company's upholstery division, has been in charge of Bernhardt's leather upholstery business since joining the company in 2002. In his new post, he is replacing Frank Cooper, who recently left the company.
Turnbow had been director of residential upholstery merchandising since rejoining the company several months ago. He worked for Bernhardt from 2002 to 2004 and also has held several manufacturing and retail posts.
Abrams most recently was vice president of sales at case goods and upholstery source Wynwood Furniture. At Bernhardt, he will oversee the sales force and work with key retail customers.
Dick reports to Alex Bernhardt Jr., president of Bernhardt Residential, while Turnbow and Abrams report to Dick.
"I am very excited about working with this team to reach our long-term strategic objectives," said Bernhardt. "They have the ability to significantly increase sales and profitability by better serving our customers, by fine tuning our product assortment and by capitalizing on the position we currently maintain in the marketplace."
