LONG BEACH, Calif. — Brothers Kent and Gregg Munro have opened House to Home Furniture, with two showrooms across the street from each other in this Southern California city.
The Munros say they have more than 40,000 square feet of showroom space, making House to Home the largest furniture retailer in Long Beach. The stores occupy both sides of Lakewood Boulevard at Stearns Street.
The retailer specializes in hand-made Amish furniture and says it offers well-known brands and value-priced lines. House to Home is an authorized dealer of the Stressless line of reclining chairs, sofas, ottomans, tables and accessories by Norwegian manufacturer Ekornes.
"We're also implementing a 110% low price guarantee on every item in our stores, so that customers can shop worry-free knowing that if they find a lower price on the same item we will match it plus pay them 10% of the difference," said Kent Munro.
During a grand opening period lasting into Labor Day, the stores will offer specials and giveaways.
"One of the things we're doing for our customers involves a $45,000 furniture giveaway," said Gregg Munro. "Each week from now until Sept. 5, we will hold a drawing. The winner of each drawing will have their purchase paid for by House to Home Furniture, up to $5,000."
The retailer also is offering coupons and manager specials on its website at www.house-to-home-furniture.com.
