Select Comfort Names COO, Tech Officer

MINNEAPOLIS - Airbed manufacturer and retailer Select Comfort said it has adopted a new management structure designed to better support the company's growth strategies.
Shelly Ibach has been promoted to the newly created position of chief operating officer. Ibach, previously executive vice president of sales and merchandising, has responsibility for consumer research, sales, marketing and product management.
Kathy Roedel, who has been executive vice president of product, services and operations, is now chief technology and services officer. Her organization will focus on deepening product development, delivery and service capabilities.
Ibach and Roedel report to Bill McLaughlin, president and CEO.
"These well-deserved appointments represent the next logical step in Select Comfort's organizational structure as we continue to better align resources in support of our core growth strategies," said McLaughlin.
