AICO showing top-of-bed lines in Atlanta this week

Company makes its debut at market

Ray Allegrezza -- Furniture Today, July 12, 2011

ATLANTA — Case goods and upholstery importer AICO (Amini Innovation Corp.) is making its debut at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market here July 13-20, showing its complete line of top-of-bed designs.

The company will present the products in its permanent showroom in space 9 E5 on the ninth floor of AmericasMart Building 1.

In addition to its in-line assortment, AICO will introduce additions here including Madison, a rich print on cotton, and Imperial, a jacquard frame design. Also on display will be two collections from Michael Amini & Jane Seymour, A Design Collaboration: Solitaire and Bellingham Court.

Commenting on the decision to take a permanent showroom in Atlanta, AICO's senior vice president of sales and marketing, Chuck Reilly, said, "Since the launch of our top-of-bed, reaction has been very strong both from traditional furniture dealers as well as from nontraditional merchants. With that in mind, the Atlanta market provides us with another strong opportunity to satisfy the top-of-bed needs for both existing customers as well as new ones shopping here."

Jacqueline Moss, AICO's director of fabric merchandising, added, "Our goal in developing Michael Amini Distinctive Bedding Designs is to add a sense of glamour and elegance to the bedroom. Our lush fabrics and vibrant colors serve to enhance the intricate detailing of our bedroom collections."

Sold in complete sets for ease of merchandising, each bedding ensemble is fully accessorized with euro shams and feather-filled decorative pillows to create a custom-designed look.

"With fabrics carefully selected to correlate with our expansive line of upholstery and case goods, we've given the retail dealer the opportunity to create whole room environments," said David Koehler, AICO's vice president of sales. "Ultimately, dealers will benefit from the add-on sale generated by the dramatic room presentations these bedding ensembles create."

All of the products shown in Atlanta are available for immediate shipment and carry retail pricing ranging from $499 to $999.
