MINNEAPOLIS - Select Comfort has added Kathy Nedorostek, an executive at personal accessories source Coach Inc., to its board of directors.
"We will greatly benefit from her exceptional leadership skills and deep experience with premium, iconic brands as we work to achieve the company's long-term goals," said Jean-Michel Valette, chairman of the Select Comfort board.
Nedorostek was elected at the airbed manufacturer and retailer's recent annual meeting. She is president of the North American wholesale and global licensing divisions of Coach, and previously was an executive at companies including intimate apparel specialist Natori and cK Calvin Klein Handbags and Footwear, a division of Nine West.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Rick Robinson, president of Spring Air International, has joined the board of the S p e c i a l t y Sleep Assn., which aims to promote innovation in the category.
Robinson will complete the term of a board member Jeff Scorziell, who is taking a leave of absence from his job at specialty sleep manufacturer Anatomic Global to carry out missionary work in Zimbabwe.
"Given my longstanding commitment to specialty sleep products and to consumer health and the environment, I'm honored to serve as a member of the SSA board," Robinson said. "I also look forward to joining other board members in guiding the growth and future of the organization."

NORWALK, OHIO - Sylvia Curtis has joined upholstery maker Norwalk Furniture as senior territory manager and corporate sales trainer.
Curtis brings more than 20 years of sales experience to Norwalk. She was previously with C.R. Laine, representing Virginia, Mar y l a n d and Delaware. Norwalk said she has managed strong relationships with many successful retailers, and has a "tremendous amount" of sales, facilitation and training expertise.
Her new responsibilities include providing skills training to retailers, supporting customer service and maintaining strong sales programs within her assigned territory of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Capel Rugs
TROY, N.C. - Capel Rugs has named Daryl Peel regional sales manager for its Southwest territory. Robinson
Peel is based in Houston and will manage sales in Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma.
He reports to Allen Robertson, vice president of sales.
Peel has been in the industry for 20 years and has a background in upholstery and case goods sales as well as experience managing a furniture store.
Robertson said Peel's "combined experience in home furnishings sales and as a retail manager makes him an ideal candidate for this position."
