Quinns launch online mattress retailer Herobed

Hybrid mattress retails for $1,099 in queen

HOUSTON – Mark and Jeff Quinn have launched an online mattress company called Herobed.

Not surprisingly, given Mark Quinn’s promotion of the hybrid category when he was at Leggett & Platt, the company’s single mattress is a “true hybrid.”

“The best sleep starts with a hybrid,” Herobed says on its website, www.herobed.com. “Our true hybrid design combines more than 3,000 body-contouring micro coils for advanced pressure-relieving support and cooling memory foam that delivers that wake up feeling great kind of sleep.”

The Quinns, who have partnered on Spink & Edgar USA, a high-end natural bedding line, now join forces to call attention to the connection between sleep, good health and quality of life, they said.

“While 97% of Americans believe a good, healthy night’s sleep is a key element to helping them perform at their best and lead a quality life, only 46% -- less than half -- give credit to a quality mattress for helping them achieve sleep nirvana,” said Jeff Quinn.

The Herobed supports stomach, side and back sleepers, they added. A queen-sized Herobed mattress retails at $1,099.

The company is using its online platform to salute “everyday heroes.”
