STOUGHTON, Mass. — Boston Interiors is getting into the outdoor furniture and eco-friendly paint businesses.

Launching this month, Boston Interiors Outdoor consists of about a dozen styles with prices from $279 for a small bistro table to about $2,700 for a large teak dining set, said Stefanie Lucas, CEO of the seven-store Top 100 company.

The line includes whitewashed teak, painted woods and resin furniture, looks such as a Parisian style bistro and items with elements such as wovens and faux concrete. The painted designs are customizable in dozens of finishes and colors. Lucas declined to identify the source or sources for the goods, but the company noted the furniture is made in America and ships with roughly a four-week lead time.

“Our customers have been asking for outdoor furniture, especially in our coastal locations, so we’re happy to be able to fulfill this need for them,” Lucas said.

“We also see a need for more unique looks in this category since more and more people are using outdoor spaces for entertaining on a regular basis.”

In conjunction with its sustainability efforts, and “total design offering,” the retailer also introduced a low-emissions paint collection that uses recycled, chlorine-free packaging and follows other environmentally conscious practices, the company said. The line features 128 colors that will be available to order in stores and online, shipping to consumers’ homes.

The company declined to identify the paint source, too.

“When our team is helping to design someone’s home, they often get asked about paint colors we would recommend, so we wanted to be able to help them,” Lucas said. “These colors complement our furniture and make it simple for them.”
