AT THE MARKET — Canadian case goods producer South Shore Furniture has 93 new items here, mostly in the juvenile bedroom category, which are the result of product development efforts undertaken over the past few months. ![]() South Shore’s Las Vegas introductions include this bedroom in its Shaker-styled Popular collection in maple, seen here in a mocha finish. The mate’s bed offers three drawers equipped with polymer glides, and includes dampers and catches for enhanced safety. |
"We know that consumers are asking for more variety in terms of style and color, and that's exactly what we are able to offer them," said Caroline White, South Shore's product development manager.
"Many of our collections are available in two to five different colors.... And while some styles are more popular than others, we are proud to provide a selection that ranges from country to contemporary," said White.
The family-owned manufacturer said in a statement that it is showing some 117 products in its showroom in space B-980. The company said it expects to welcome the majority of its dotcom clients and some of its other retailers here.
"We don't want to settle for selling furniture alone, so we put a lot of effort into our photos so that they can inspire," said Nicole Basenach, director of research, development and home décor.
"We showcase our collections in different environments that'll match anyone's taste. Our goal is to help consumers fully realize what they can do with furniture once it has been placed in their home."
He said that in its social media communications, South Shore is focusing on "giving practical and friendly advice that can spur project ideas or even help consumers turn their furniture dreams into reality."
