Patrick Theimer, who joined Bush more than two years ago as executive vice president of marketing and e-commerce, has been named president of Bush Furniture. Jim Garde, chief financial officer and executive vice president of Bush Inds. since 2006, has been named president of bbf.
Both are new positions and each executive reports to Jim Sherbert, CEO of Bush Inds.
Bush Furniture provides home office and home entertainment furniture for the retail furniture and e-commerce channels of distribution, while bbf focuses on the commercial furniture market.
In a statement, Sherbert said the promotions helps complete steps the company has taken over the past 18 months to rebrand its divisions.
"We've completed a successful rebranding of our divisions, built an impressive portfolio of products and services, and formed valuable strategic partnerships - all of which results in two very strong concepts positioned for even greater growth and success," Sherbert said. "We are excited about the transition and the future of both Bush Furniture and bbf."
"As current executives of Bush Inds., both Patrick and Jim bring the diverse, solid leadership experience and industry expertise needed to drive each of these businesses to the next level," he added. "I have tremendous confidence in both of them and their role in guiding Bush Furniture and bbf into the future."
The company has created separate national sales forces for each division. Previously, there was some overlap between the two business units.
The company also said that it plans to invest in areas such as product development, marketing and distribution for each division. However, both divisions will continue to share services such as information technology, human resources and finance.
