Dongguan Yujia Furniture gets 0% preliminary duty rate
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, August 11, 2011
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Commerce has made a preliminary determination that Chinese bedroom producer Dongguan Yujia Furniture Co. should receive a 0% duty on its 2010 wooden bedroom furniture shipments. The DOC's preliminary analysis, based on factors ranging from transportation to materials costs, showed that the producer did not sell product at less than normal values.
The agency will issue final results of the review in November.
The duties, which are aimed at helping protect U.S. manufactures against unfairly priced imports, are assigned to the factory, but paid by importers of record.
