California's PTS Furniture Opens Ruggiero Gallery

A new gallery at California retailer PTS Furniture features products from the Joe Ruggiero Home Collection, including Miles Talbott upholstery covered in Sunbrella fabrics.
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - Full-line furniture retailer PTS Furniture has opened a five-vignette gallery based on home furnishings from the Joe Ruggiero Home Collection, including Sunbrella fabrics on Miles Talbott upholstery, and other products licensed by the popular HGTV host and designer.
"Consumers are drawn to a story, and this new gallery was created to tell the story of how you can combine design aesthetics, comfort, durability and easy care," said George Jordan, president of High Point-based Miles Talbott. "The new gallery tells this story in a lifestyle setting that retail associates can use effectively to assist consumers as well as design professionals."
The upper-end PTS Furniture is devoting more than 1,000 square feet of its 44,000- square-foot location to Ruggiero designs in Sunbrella fabrics from Glen Raven, upholstery, case goods, lighting, top-of-bed, artwork and accessories.
"We are very familiar with the Joe Ruggiero gallery within the Miles Talbott showroom in High Point and the ‘wow' factor he creates during each market," said Kathy Paul, an owner of PTS, who said the retailer wanted to develop a gallery similar to the market showroom in its store.
The gallery at PTS is the first comprehensive and cohesive display of the designer's home collection in a variety of room settings at retail.
"Sunbrella fabrics provide the unifying element throughout the gallery," said Ruggiero. "During recent years, Glen Raven has transformed Sunbrella from primarily an outdoor fabric into a home décor fabric that is pet and kid friendly and can be used throughout the home, from bedding and light shades to decorative pillows, throws and area rugs."
