The Buying Giant Moving to Larger Tupelo Space
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, August 25, 2011
HARRIMAN, Tenn. - TBG - The Buying Giant will move into a larger showroom for the Tupelo Furniture Market this month, citing growing member attendance and interest from vendors showing special products to the buying group.
At nearly 4,200 square feet, the space - No. 3000 in Building 3 - is nearly twice the size of the group's former Tupelo space. TBG also can use up to 5,000 square-feet of open space across the aisle from the showroom.
Vendors committed to show to the group there include American Furniture Classics, American Made Silks, Best Sellers, Earth Friendly Imprints, Hillsdale, Powell, Serta, Stacey and Trade Masters, Med-Lift Recliners, Kidz World Youth Furniture and Sleep-Ezz.
The buying group's board of directors will hold its semiannual dinner meeting Aug. 17 at the Tupelo Country Club. Chairman Larry Stansell of Stansell Furniture, Trion, Ga., will preside over the election of new officers and directors, a review of TBG vendor programs and evaluation of the group's updated website at www.thebuyingiant.com.
The group also will hold a membership dinner meeting Aug. 18 at the Tupelo Country Club to discuss programs and share market experiences. There's also a lunch meeting planned in the showroom Aug. 18 for additional presentations.
TBG is inviting all Tupelo market shoppers to register for a chance to win a color "Write-on, Wipe-off" LED-illuminated sign, sponsored by TBG and Best Sellers and valued at $349.
The Tupelo Furniture Market runs Aug. 18-21.
