James Mayberry elected president of TBG - The Buying Giant

TUPELO, Miss. — Furniture buying group TBG - The Buying Giant elected new officers at their meeting at the Tupelo Country Club during the recent furniture market here and announced plans for a marketing seminar.
James Mayberry of Mayberry's in Crossville, Tenn., was elected president, Bo Carey of Greer's, in Loudon, Tenn., was elected vice-president, and Don Blalock of Morgan Furniture Center, Sparta, Tenn., was elected treasurer. Larry Stansell of Stansell Furniture, Trion, Ga., was re-elected chairman.
Newly elected directors were Peg Hays of Herb Hays Furniture, Hopkinsville, Ky., and L.G. Puckett of Puckett's Furniture, Livingston, Tenn. A number of directors were re-elected.
At a membership dinner, TBG Executive Director Bethel Poston presented plans for a media marketing seminar to be held at the Radisson at Opryland in Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 13-14. Sources invited to make presentations include Cosec International, Ayr1, Mail South, DMN Direct, AdMark and SCA Promotions.
On the evening of Sept. 13, the group will attend the Grand Ole Opry for the celebration of George Jones' 80th birthday, where artists Alan Jackson, the Oak Ridge Boys, Montgomery Gentry, Joe Diffie and Pam Tillis are scheduled to perform.
