IB appoints three execs to new regional sales posts

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — International Bedding has appointed three sales veterans to newly created regional posts, company CEO Jeff Maillet announced.
Pat O'Brien, Ann Stephenson and Steve Baumberger will be based in Florida, Texas and Arizona, respectively, and will report to Dennis Straily, IB's vice president of sales.
"Each of these executives brings a wealth of sales, management, marketing and business development expertise to our company from both inside and outside the mattress industry," Straily said.
O'Brien, who has 12 years of experience in the mattress industry, has been named a key account manager for Mattress Giant and will be responsible for other strategic sales initiatives. Before joining IB, O'Brien headed management and operations as vice president of The Osprey Group, a Delray Beach, Fla.-based landscape installation and maintenance firm.
From 1995 through 2007, he worked in sales and sales executive positions at Simmons, Serta and Spring Air. Stephenson, who has been named a territory manager for IB, will be responsible for retail accounts in the Texas region that carry the exclusive Dr. Breus Bed line. Before joining IB, she was a retail sales coordinator for apparel firm Perry Ellis International.
She has spent nearly 22 years in wholesale and retail sales, including working for Sealy from 2005 to 2008 as a Texas-based territory sales executive.

While Baumberger will be based at the Arizona office as an IB territory manager, he lives in Southern California and will be responsible for spearheading sales growth there for all of IB's brands, including The Dr. Breus Bed, Airsprung, Europa, Origins and American-Pedic.
The former owner and president of Baumberger's Furniture in Evansville, Ind., he worked for the family business from 1992 to 2007, and also has worked in management positions in commercial real estate and the wireless industry, and as a sales rep and assistant manager for Dania Furniture in Seattle.
