CORONA DEL MAR, Calif. - David Donald Yerrick, a longtime industry executive, has died at age 63 after a long illness.
Yerrick most recently was with Lynch Sales Co., where he was a senior sales conductor for 15 years until the time of his death. He ran the largest single store sales event in Lynch's history for Gabbert's in Minneapolis.
Yerrick, who served in the Navy, got his start in the business working in the delivery department of a furniture store while attending college. After graduating in 1975, he took a sales job at retailer C.S. Wo in Honolulu and eventually worked his way up to management.
He later moved back to Southern California and worked in management at J.H. Biggar. He then joined Weberg Furniture in Colorado, where he helped open Thomasville and Colorado Retreat stores. Later, he worked for Dover Furniture in Paramus, N.J., before joining Lynch Sales.
He is survived by his wife, mother, a sister and other family members.
