DALLAS — Nationwide Marketing Group reported that dealers' savings on Cash Back Now purchases were in the millions at the group's PrimeTime buying show and strategic member conference held here at the Gaylord Texan last month.
Cash Back Now featured 160 appliance, electronics and furniture manufacturers exhibiting at the show, among them Klaussner and Serta.
"Our Cash Back Now program is one of the major draws to PrimeTime, and vendor participation continues to grow each year," said Dave Bilas, executive vice president of the buying group. "It benefits everyone. Vendors see an increase in merchandise purchased at the show, and dealers go home with money in their pockets."
To celebrate Nationwide's 40-year anniversary, the group provided members with a "40 Great Ideas" booklet, covering an array of business topics and product categories.
"PrimeTime is always a great place to learn new best-in-class business tactics and strategies, and identify new opportunities to help your business grow, and this year was no exception," said Richard Weinberg, senior vice president of appliance merchandising.
Attendees were encouraged to visit the booths of participating vendors to learn more about the ideas. Members who visited 10 or more booths qualified for a prize drawing and a chance to win one of the 12 prizes, with the grand prize of a $10,000 U.S. Savings Bond going to Will Wiseman from Audio Tech in Temple, Texas
First place prize winner for an iPad2 was Lee McDonald from R.W. McDonald and Sons in Butler, Pa.
Ten other participants in the drawing and won an 8GB iPod Touch, including Larry Wright, C & C Audio, Video & Appliance, Lake Charles, La.; Jerry Nicholson, APCO, Hoover, Ala.; Anita Potts, Heavenly Sleep, Hurst, Texas; Melba Schofield, Schofields, Evanston, Wyo.; Bonnie Cadbury, Windswept AC & Appliances, Marathon, Fla.; Susan Callahan, Callahan's Appliance, Prosper, Texas; Kyle Mirka, Allen & Petersen, Anchorage, Alaska; Verna Dinkins, Mill Direct, Dallas; Linda Dumas, Terrell Bros., Natchitoches, Texas; and Mike Young, Ebensburg Musicmart, Ebensburg, Pa.
