Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library closed for renovations until Oct. 22

Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 12, 2011

HIGH POINT — The Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library, located here at 1009 N. Main St., will be closed until Oct. 22 while undergoing extensive renovations.

The library is "devoted to the advancement of knowledge of furniture," according to its website. The research center contains more than 5,000 volumes encompassing all aspects of interior design, furniture design, history and style, architecture, textiles and furniture construction.

"When the Library re-opens on Oct. 22, visitors will see a fresh new look and be able to explore the world of furniture history with comfort and ease," officials said.
