Parker Named President of Kuka

HANGZHOU, China - Furniture industry veteran Brian Parker has been named president of Kuka Furniture, a leather upholstery producer based here.
He will oversee the company's strategic plans for the North American market and will direct sales, marketing and merchandising efforts in the region.
Parker has worked in the industry for more than 20 years, most recently as president of leather upholstery producer HTL Furniture. Earlier, he was president of EasyTrend, the motion upholstery division of Robinson & Robinson, and was in the retail furniture business in Oklahoma City.
In addition to his post as president of Kuka, Parker will serve as vice president- North America of parent company Jason Furniture (Hangzhou) Co.
He reports to Gordon Gu, president of Jason Furniture, and will work closely with Berton Chan, director of export sales.

"His vision of outstanding quality and designs along with Kuka's vertical integration and production skills will enable us to grow a mutually beneficial business with our retail partners in North America."
In addition to hiring Parker, the company said it will soon open a sales and marketing office in the High Point area. The new office will enhance efforts to grow its business in North America and improve customer service, the company said.
