Cambridge Mills to double High Point Market showroom space
Thomas Russell -- Furniture Today, September 16, 2011
HIGH POINT — Solid wood bedroom resource Cambridge Mills is doubling the size of its presence here in time for the October High Point Market.
Michael Scarsella, sales and marketing director, said the company will show new and existing product in its 3,500-square-foot space in the International Home Furnishings Center, G-582, which is twice the size of its former showroom at 200 N. Hamilton St.
"We have doubled our product line since our launch last October, and with two new collections premiering this October, the larger, better located space will allow us to fully showcase our entire assortment of products," Scarsella said in a statement.
The company also plans to show at the winter Las Vegas Market, he said.
Cambridge Mills was launched last October in partnership with Harden Furniture, which produces the middle to upper middle priced line in its 500,000-square-foot plant in McConnellsville, N.Y.
The line hit retail in the spring and has received a positive response from dealers, officials said. It has been placed at more than 100 accounts in the U.S. and Canada.
"The progression has been nice," Scarsella said. "It has been challenging to hit the floors and immediately start selling in the summer season, but we are hoping for good retail activity this fall."
