Profitsystems Unveiling Real-Time Sales Dashboard
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, September 24, 2011
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Retail technology provider Profitsystems will unveil a new real-time sales dashboard and an improved executive dashboard through Profitprofessional, enabling retailers to monitor their key business metrics anywhere and at any time.
The new dashboards will be introduced at the High Point Market next month at the company's space in the NHFA Retailer Resource Center.
Profitsystems will offer improvements to its customer relationship management tools and sales management tools to help its clients maximize opportunities to serve customers and improve stores' sales closing ratios. New e-commerce tools will provide the opportunity for users to link Profitprofessional to retailers' websites.
Terry Nelson, vice president of sales, said Profitsystems is "also excited with our progress towards rolling out new smart phone and tablet computer applications that will provide a high level of mobility and flexibility for Profitprofessional users. The era of having to leave your customers to enter a sale on a stationary PC workstation is nearly over."
Also on tap at the October market will be a new subscription-based pricing structure for Profitsystems' traditional file server/client network installations.
According to Nelson, for retailers who already have a substantial investment in a file server and workstations, this option dramatically reduces the initial investment in Profitprofessional and also provides flexibility to adjust the use of the system according to the retailer's business cycles.
With a phone call, Nelson said, a retailer can increase his available workstations to meet the demands of a high-impact promotion, or alternatively can reduce the monthly subscription fee by deactivating workstations during a slow season.
"This effectively gives the retailer more real-time control of their IT response," he said.
The vendor also will be discussing its Cloud-based option called Profit-on-demand. It has been in the field for almost four years, according to Nelson, and is "massively successful because it provides a much lower cost-of-entry and much higher ease-of-use than traditional file server/client network installations."
He said the option also protects retailers' business data, which is backed up several times each day on Profitsystems hosting servers and also to an offsite server.
