French Heritage makes its debut at Dallas Total Home & Gift Market

High-end manufacturer will show at Lloyd Humphries & Associates showroom

DALLAS – High end upholstery and case goods manufacturer French Heritage will make its debut appearance here during the June 21-27 Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.

It will show a variety of pieces from its line, including its new Michelle Workman Facet collection for French Heritage, at the Lloyd Humphries & Associates showroom at the World Trade Center, inside gallery 10020/10062. After the market, this showroom will become French Heritage’s permanent home in Dallas.

The company will host a “Meet & Greet” event with Michelle Workman from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., June 22. The event will feature light refreshments.

The Facet collection, which Workman designed for French Heritage, was first shown at the April High Point Market. The 50-piece collection of upholstery and case goods has Hollywood glam and deco design influences. In addition to pieces featuring exotic wood species in hand rubbed finishes, the clean-lined collection features items with brass, chrome and copper accents that mix with pastel lacquers, textural fabrics and faux shagreen leathers.

During the show, French Heritage is also hosting a contest that allows visitors to win a Facet cocktail book and a $100 American Express gift card. Participating buyers must take a photo with the French Heritage and Michelle Workman Facet collection poster and share it on Facebook and Instagram. Two winners with the most likes will be selected.

I'm Tom Russell and have worked at Furniture/Today since August 2003. Since then, I have covered the international side of the business from a logistics and sourcing standpoint. Since then, I also have visited several furniture trade shows and manufacturing plants in Asia, which has helped me gain perspective about the industry in that part of the world. As I continue covering the import side of the business, I look forward to building on that knowledge base through conversations with industry officials and future overseas plant tours. From time to time, I will file news and other industry perspectives online and, as always, welcome your response to these Web postings.
