ITMA Elects Officers, Welcomes Nifong to Board

HIGH POINT -- Todd Nifong, president of Altizer & Co. Decorative Textiles/Al Fresco Functional Fabrics, has joined the 12-member board of directors of the International Textile Market Assn., producers of the semiannual Showtime fabric show.
Nifong, a member of the ITMA Educational Foundation, also is a member of the Apparel & Textiles Advisory Council for Appalachian State University, and is a recurring speaker at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington's Annual Business Week.
Along with appointing Nifong, the ITMA also elected officers. Bob Patton of P. Kaufmann/Braemore Textiles will remain board president for another year, while Jesse Rector of The Leather Collection was elected vice president and Art Reilly of A.G. Reilly Textiles was elected secretary/treasurer.
Other returning board members are Ismail Arslan, De Leo Textiles; Mac Lane, American Silk Mills; Wesley Mancini, Home Fabrics by Wesley Mancini; Kiran Singh, Laura & Kiran; Robin Starnes, Covington Fabric & Design; and Jeff Veach, Heritage House Fabrics.
Serving on the board as industry liaisons are Jim Calhoun, Miles Talbott/Michael Thomas Furniture; Anne Hood, Century Furniture; and Regenia Payne, Taylor King Furniture.
