HIGH POINT - Barry Lee Wood, former head of the Furniture Manufacturers Credit Assn., has died. He was 63. Wood was executive vice president and general manager of the FMCA, a trade association for credit executives, for more than seven years until his retirement in 2004.
Before joining the association, Wood spent most of his career as an executive with apparel manufacturer Kayser Roth.
He also was an Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, daughter and son-in-law, two grandchildren, mother, stepfather, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
