Parker House moving to larger, freestanding High Point showroom
Larry Thomas -- Furniture Today, October 12, 2011
HIGH POINT — Parker House, a case goods and leather upholstery resource, is moving to a larger showroom at 314 S. Main St. for this month's High Point Market.
The freestanding building, which most recently was occupied by now-defunct Home Line Inds., gives the company about 12,000 square feet of exhibit space - roughly 50% more than its former showroom in the National Furniture Mart.
"This will enable us to show a lot of new product that we didn't have in Las Vegas," said Roberta Woodard, vice president of merchandising. "And it shows how we are bullish about the High Point Market."
The California-based company returned to High Point for the April 2010 market and also plans to keep its Las Vegas showroom, she said.
The company sells case goods under the Parker House name and leather upholstery under the Parker Living name.
