ASHEBORO, N.C. — Full-line importer and manufacturer Klaussner Home Furnishings is reporting success with its Solutions Studio in-store concept the company launched in April.

Klaussner has opened 14 locations since introducing the program.

The company said in a press release that it plans to again dedicate 5,000 square feet of its showroom at the High Point Market to promoting the studios. The company exhibits at 101 N. Hamilton St. Market runs Oct. 22-27.

In retail formats, the Solutions Studios range from 2,500 square feet to 5,500 square feet and offer a simple way to sell Klaussner products, the company says.

"We are very excited with the overwhelming response since our launch last April," said Len Burke," vice president of marketing for Klaussner. "Every store has been very pleased with the finished product and the response from the retail sales associates has been outstanding."

The company said it has opened three studios each at J&J Furniture in Alabama and D.T. McCall & Sons in Tennessee; and two studios at retailers including Van Vreedes in Wisconsin, Kaplan's Furniture and Mattress Gallery in Ohio and Carolina Furniture Concepts in North Carolina. Compass Furniture in Louisiana and Save-On Furniture in Wisconsin also have added studios.

The studios feature custom order upholstery in multiple product lines and price points. The core feature of the studios, according to Klaussner, is domestically made upholstery delivered in 21 days.

For each studio, Klaussner offers designer assistance as well as point-of-purchase materials, tagging solutions, distinctive elements to highlight the area and a computerized Solutions Center that simplifies the selling process for retail sales associates.

Klaussner developed the selling process for the studios with MicroD.
