Antidumping review extended for Chinese innerspring maker

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Commerce on Monday announced that it is extending issuing the final results of a new shipper review in the uncovered innerspring units case.

The new shipper review covers shipments made by Foshan Nanhai Jiujiang Quan Li Spring Hardware Factory of China from Feb. 1 to July 31, 2010. Such reviews are made for factories that haven't previously shipped to the U.S.

On Aug. 4, the DOC announced that Quan Li's preliminary new shipper review results were not qualified to receive a new shipper review. It based that on questions involving its relationship with exporter Foshan Yongnuo Import & Export Co., Ltd.

The final review results were expected to be completed by Oct. 24, but the DOC agreed to extend the deadline by another two months. The final results are now expected in late December.
