Red Egg, Four Hands win awards for best High Point Market showrooms

Four Hands’ High Point Market showroom won the People’s Choice Award, determined by marketgoers’ votes, for the third year in a row.AT THE MARKET — Red Egg and Four Hands are the winners of this market's Showroom Design Competition.

Tammy Nagem, chief operating officer of the High Point Market Authority, announced the winners at last night's Stars under the Stars concert. The awards single out the most creative and innovative exhibitors.

Red Egg, which shows at 415 W. High Ave., won the Best of Market Award as determined by a jury of editors including Margaret Russell, editor in chief of Architectural Digest; designer and architect David Easton; and Tracy Bulla, senior product editor for Home Accents Today. 

Red Egg was recognized by the judges for its serene display space and its use of accessories to layer a white-on-white palette.

Judges chose the Red Egg showroom for the Best of Market Award for creativity and innovation.Runners up for the Best of Market Award were C.R. Laine Furniture, showing in the International Home Furnishings Center, H-1004, and BeeLine Home by Bunny Williams, at 310 N. Hamilton St.

Four Hands, showing in Union Square space 201, won the People's Choice Award for the third year in a row. Marketgoers were invited to vote for their favorite showroom design via Twitter or text messaging.

Runners up in the People's Choice competition were Roweboat Art, 430 N. Wrenn St., and Dorya, 200 Steele space 144.
Winning entrants in each category were presented with a crystal trophy cup for display in their showroom.
