Three The Dump workers facing charges in theft ring
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, October 26, 2011
MIDDLETOWN, Pa. — Three employees of The Dump furniture store in this Philadelphia suburb stole some $26,000 worth of merchandise and sold it to customers at half the sticker price, according to a report on phillyburbs.com.
Two of the employees who were warehouse workers allegedly approached customers in the store's parking lot and offered them deals on product. The third employee involved was a security guard, police said.
The alleged theft was uncovered when a customer tried to return his purchases, the report said.
