Noir to host designer meet and greet event at Las Vegas Market

LOS ANGELES – Noir Furniture is hosting a design focused Las Vegas Market Meet and Greet event in conjunction with DesignerInc and LuAnn Nigara, a host of weekly podcast, A Well Designed Business.Noir Laredo Bistro Table

The event is taking place at 4 p.m., July 31, in Noir’s new 8,000-square foot showroom in C-399. Designers are invited to come out for food and drinks and to mix and mingle with other attendees. They are also invited to take part in design-inspired trivia games led by Nigara.

The event is sponsored by DesignerInc., a free, trade-only online product marketplace that helps expedite the sourcing and buying process for designers and their clients. It provides designers access to more than 300 manufacturers that make their goods available to designers through a simplified shopping cart platform on the website.

At market, Noir also will be showing new pieces in its line ranging from new chairs and bistro tables to desks and sideboards, some of which are shown in a newly introduced walnut finish.

I'm Tom Russell and have worked at Furniture/Today since August 2003. Since then, I have covered the international side of the business from a logistics and sourcing standpoint. Since then, I also have visited several furniture trade shows and manufacturing plants in Asia, which has helped me gain perspective about the industry in that part of the world. As I continue covering the import side of the business, I look forward to building on that knowledge base through conversations with industry officials and future overseas plant tours. From time to time, I will file news and other industry perspectives online and, as always, welcome your response to these Web postings.
