Interior designer Stephanie Cohen opens Long Island superstore

NEW YORK — Interior designer Stephanie Cohen has opened her flagship high-end furniture store, Stephanie Cohen Home, on the North Shore of Long Island.Stephanie Cohen

Located in Farmingdale, N.Y., the 40,000-square-foot superstore offers furniture, lighting, accessories, rugs, wallpaper and its own mattress gallery.

The store, which incorporates music, scents and interactive technology, also features a design center, where the Stephanie Cohen Home team uses fabrics, wood samples and drafting to help customers design their homes.

"I wanted to create a stress-free space in which clients can come in and engage in an interactive and fun experience while designing their dream home," Cohen said in a release.

A native of New York, Cohen graduated from the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design and embarked on a career in residential and commercial design.
