HIGH POINT - Case goods and upholstery resource Global Furniture USA has hired two former Klaussner executives to sales related posts at the company.
Brower |
Peters |
The company has named Mack Peters to the newly created position of director of sales and merchandising.
It also has named Steve Brower as national accounts representative, a new position.
Peters was most recently vice president of Klaussner's import division and its domestic motion division. For about five years prior, he was an executive vice president at Sofa Express and for 15 years before that was at Sofa Connection.
In his new role, he reports to Global President Alex Vaysman and will handle sales and merchandising efforts for the company's entire product line, including its new Main-street division of transitional product.
He also will help the company establish a national sales force. Global currently has about 24 reps based out of California, New Jersey, Miami and Houston and wants to add another 10 to 12, Peters said.
"We still have a lot of territories we want to fill," he said.
Brower most recently was senior vice president of sales and marketing at Klaussner and will be responsible for targeting and servicing Global's key accounts. He reports to Peters.
