LENOIR, N.C. - Broyhill Home Furnishings is offering three contemporary-leaning case goods collections it originally developed for the Canadian market to U.S. retailers this fall.
It developed the collections with interior designer Brian Gluckstein for exclusive distribution at The Bay in Canada.
The success of the groups in Canada encouraged Broyhill to launch them at the fall High Point Market, said company President Mark Stephens, who added that the move will broaden Broyhill's contemporary offerings to U.S. dealers.
"We know that the consumer is moving toward more transitional and contemporary styles, and we want to make sure we provide our dealers the opportunity to capture that share of the business," Stephens said. He said the addition of the Gluckstein pieces "updates our portfolio and makes us more relevant to a broad range of consumers."
The GlucksteinHome/Broyhill collections also are being marketed alongside a palette of Benjamin Moore paints that consumers can consider as part of their decorating scheme, the company said. While the colors don't necessarily match the exact finishes, consumers can view them alongside the furniture and determine how they may wish to paint a room to coordinate with the furniture.
"Brian tries to package the whole home," Stephens said. "He will suggest colors for the room that will tie in with the finishes."
