Exclusive Research: eIntent-A measurement of traffic, brands and products through online furniture sites
President's Day, Labor Day garner most online furniture visits
Dana French -- Furniture Today, November 4, 2011
This exclusive 4-page e-Intent report analyzes the online visitor traffic to furniture store websites for January through September 2011, as well as the top-performing furniture brands online. It also discusses the important of effective search engine optimization.
According to the data, President's Day and Labor Day garnered the most online furniture visits for the months of January through September of 2011. Nearly 100,000 visits were made by consumers to furniture stores on FurnitureDealer.net's portfolio of sites on those two holiday Mondays. Total traffic on President's Day was more than three times greater than the slowest traffic day of the year so far, Tuesday, January 11.
The exclusive data clearly shows that consumers are browsing online on weekends and holidays. The third, fourth and fifth most popular shopping days respectively were February 20, the Sunday before President's Day; Sunday, August 14; and February 19, the Saturday before President's Day. Weekends and holidays accounted for 76% of the top 25 days for traffic. For the complete report, see the 22 October print issue of Furniture Today, or click here for the exclusive online edition.
