FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. – Contemporary and transitional case goods and upholstery resources Star International Furniture and Orient Express Furniture have promoted John Genova to vice president of sales for both brands.

Genova previously served as national sales manager, and Star International/Orient Express is looking to fill that position.

“John has been a great addition to our family business, through his positivity and extensive background in furniture, his work has had a direct impact on our recent growth,” said Vice President of Design & Merchandising Anna Johnson Schweiss.

“The opportunity to work with such a financially sound company that executes our goals of being a leader in on- trend product, while maintaining inventory and stock levels on both coasts to support this strategy is something any sales professional would envy,” Genova said. “I am excited about our future, having recently expanded our East Coast distribution center, and with the debut of our new flagship showroom this Fall High Point Market, we are poised and ready for growth.”

This year Star International Furniture celebrates its 40th year in business.

Star International and Orient Express produce bedroom, dining room, upholstery and occasional furniture. The brands operate two quick-ship warehouses on the East and West coasts, and sell to retailers and designer, and via e-commerce and direct containers.
