Five additional manufacturers join foam suit

TUPELO, Miss. - Five more Mississippi furniture manufacturers have joined an ongoing lawsuit against foam suppliers claiming price fixing, the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reported.
Rose Hill, Tupelo Foam Sales, Life Style, Family Home Furnishings and Dykes Inds. all filed lawsuits last week in U.S. District Court, claiming financial loss. They will join about a dozen other cases now in a federal multi-jurisdictional court in Ohio.
Defendants are Hickory Springs, Valle Foam Inds., Domfoma International, Carpenter, The Woodbridge Group, Flexible Foam Products, Scottdel Inc., FXI Foamex Innovations, Future Foam, Vitafoam Products Canada, Vitafoam Inc. and Leggett & Platt.
The lawsuits ask for a jury trial and triple damages, plus interest, court costs and attorney fees.
None of the defendants have responded to the charges.
