BASSETT, Va. - Bassett Furniture Inds. has retained Jena Hall Designs to oversee the design and merchandising of its new HGTV Home furniture collection.
The HGTV line, which will focus on middle to upper-middle price points in case goods and upholstery, will debut at the April High Point Market.
"We are delighted to have Jena Hall Designs join our team to help us develop the vision for the new HGTV Home brand," said Rob Spilman, Bassett's president and CEO. "Jena's reputation and credentials as an industry leader and award-winning designer are a great addition."
Spilman said Hall "also brings extensive experience working directly with HGTV, having been part of curating the guidelines and style direction for developing the new HGTV Home licensing program."
Hall said the program will launch with four collections that fit the lifestyles, life stages and demographics of many HGTV viewers.
"The collections will incorporate decorating solutions and options in their packaging and consumer displays, taking the guesswork out of the many design questions," she said.
The product line also will feature an integrated visual merchandising and marketing approach that links the furniture line to other HGTV Home licensed products.
