LINWOOD, N.C. - Kimball Hospitality has chosen residential case goods manufacturer Linwood Furniture to produce part of its hospitality line.
The manufacturing partnership will complement Kimball's manufacturing in Jasper Ind., which produces a higher end, lower volume and custom driven line made with combinations of wood, metal, glass and marble.
Linwood's facility is known for its production capabilities in solid wood case goods available in multiple wood and painted finishes.
The line will be made in Linwood's 530,000-square-foot plant near Lexington, N.C., which employs 100, including 20 added in the last few weeks. The facility is currently running 10 hours a day, six days a week, said Mike Mebane, president and CEO.
In addition to its own product line, Linwood also produces Bob Timberlake licensed product for Century Furniture.
Mebane said he expects to add more workers as the plant produces more furniture for Kimball and other clients.
