Tom Bunyan, retired industry sales rep

BELMONT, Calif. - Tom Bunyan, a retired furniture sales representative who had a 35-year career in the industry, has died. He was 83.
     He represented lines including Reel, Cal Oak and Bella Lamps until his retirement in 2002 at age 75.
     A friend and colleague of Bunyan said he was generous with his fellow sales reps, including introducing them to available lines when he became aware of them. He also helped his dealers by requesting specials from manufacturers, and lent a hand when dealers had big sales.
     He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann, and four daughters.
