LAS VEGAS — Las Vegas Market’s seventh annual Up on the Roof benefit raised $15,735 to benefit Gift for Life — a record amount for the gift, stationery and home décor industries’ sole charitable organization.

More than 500 supporters attended the annual fundraiser, which featured special guest Donny Osmond, a silent auction of Donny Osmond Home products and Las Vegas-themed items and experiences.

“Las Vegas Market is pleased and proud to once again demonstrate our commitment to assisting Gift For Life and its vital mission of supporting HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, education and advocacy by raising an unprecedented $15,735 at our summer market gala,” Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift Leasing and chief marketing officer, International Market Centers, said in a statement. “Having Donny Osmond as our special guest was a big attraction and helped us attract a record crowd of 500-plus to raise money for Gift for Life.”

To date, the events have raised more than $85,000 for Gift for Life, Belshaw added.

Auction prizes included tickets to the Donny & Marie Show — at Osmond’s personal table plus a meet and greet — at the Flamingo Las Vegas. Also auctioned were Donny Osmond Home-licensed merchandise from three Las Vegas Market showrooms: Art Trends, Coaster Company of America and Rizzy Home.

Gift for Life unites the gift and home industries against AIDS with more than $5 million raised since its inception in 1992.
