Steve Silver Co. names David Corbin chief operating officer

DALLAS — Casual dining and occasional importer Steve Silver Co. has named David R. Corbin as its chief operating officer.

He will report to the company's board of directors.

"I have known David for several years and we have a lot of respect for his leadership and vision," company President Steve Silver said in a press release.

Corbin left bedding producer Southerland, where he had been co-president, earlier this year. He helped lead the company's transformation to a new business model and its transition from a family-owned company to an employee stock ownership plan.

Earlier, he held executive roles at Chromcraft and Pulaski Furniture and held several management positions at Procter & Gamble.
