Charlotte's closing in El Paso

EL PASO, Texas — Charlotte’s Fine Home Furnishings is closing its store here at Pepper Tree Square at 5411 N. Mesa St., as the owner retires to pursue other interests.

The 45,000-square foot showroom and 26,000-square-foot warehouse will close following a “Great $6 Million Store Closing-Retirement Sale even. The liquidation began Aug.26 and will run for 10 to 12 weeks, “said Chris Lynch, CEO of Lynch Sales, which is coordinating the promotion.

“We have enjoyed a tremendous relationship with the people of El Paso and surrounding community for 66 years," Owner Melissa O’Rourke said in a release. “We have now made the strategic decision to close our store and sell our entire and complete stock.”

Lynch could not disclose a projected sales figure for the promotion but said he expected it to generate 70% to 75% of the store’s annual volume or more.

Charlotte’s carries brands such as Marge Carson, Bradington-Young, Century, Drexel, Hancock & Moore, Lexington Home Brands, Stanley, Theodore Alexander, and Kincaid. Lynch’s additional inventory program includes more goods from Craftmaster, Liberty furniture and area rugs.
