AICO launches aggressive 2012 consumer ad campaign

PICO RIVERA, Calif. - Case goods and upholstery manufacturer AICO has announced an aggressive consumer advertising campaign for 2012 that focuses on national magazines.
Chuck Reilly, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said the campaign will start with a two-page spread in the December-January issue of House Beautiful featuring the Hollywood Swank collection, a product of the Michael Amini and Jane Seymour design collaboration.
"This will be followed up with a full-page ad in the January/February issue of Elle Décor and the February issue of Architectural Digest. We have made a commitment to all three publications and their digital counterparts for 2012," Reilly said.
Most of AICO's past advertising efforts have been trade related, he added.
"The goal was, and continues to be, building successful symbiotic partnerships with our dealers," said Mike Yarbrough, AICO's director of creative arts. "What better way to ensure the success of our partners than to deliver our brand directly to millions of consumers? All of our efforts will drive traffic to our website and then to our partners through our dealer locator."
Reilly added, "In a business climate where most companies are cutting back, AICO has been fortunate as our business is up, and we want to take advantage of our momentum in the marketplace. We look at consumer advertising as an investment in the future of the Michael Amini brand, which will ultimately have a positive effect on our retail partners."
