Dirk Smith joins Boyd Specialty Sleep as Southwest sales VP

ST. LOUIS — Boyd Specialty Sleep has appointed Dirk Smith vice president of sales for the Southwest region.
Smith will be based in the Dallas area and will be responsible for sales and sales development for Boyd Specialty Sleep and the company's Accent Furniture division across 10 southern states, reporting to Denny Boyd, president.
A six-year sales veteran of Sealy, Smith "has a solid record of mattress sales, sales management and marketing performance involving a number of key retailers and chains, including national accounts," Boyd said. "His proven industry expertise in the South will be very valuable to our continued development of the Southwest region and to the growth of our companies overall."
Smith was with Sealy from 1995 to mid-2011, holding posts in field and district sales management, and later as a senior national account manager.
