U.S. thanks Gat Creek for supporting Guard, Army Reserve

Gat Creek President Gat Caperton and employee Debra Weller, a 30-year veteran of the Army National Guard, hold a Patriotic Employer presented to the company for its support of employees serving in the Guard and the Army Reserve.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Domestic case goods manufacturer Gat Creek has been named a Patriotic Employer by the Office of the Secretary of Defense: Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve.

The company was anonymously nominated for the honor, given to companies for contributing to national security by supporting employee participation in the Army National Guard and Reserve.

In a press release, the company thanked all its employees working in the military, including Debra Weller, a 30-year veteran of the National Guard. For the past four years, Weller served as a master sergeant at Camp Dawson in Kingwood, W.Va., training military police for active duty.
