Houston Furniture Bank seeks donations

The Houston Furniture Bank, an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, needs industry donations to continue to serve a gulf coast community devastated by Hurricane Harvey. It estimates 25,000-100,000 impacted families, many of whom have lost everything. These are families with no bed to sleep on, no chairs to sit on and no tables to eat on.

While the Bank is currently serving 70 families each day with basic home furnishings, more donations means more families may be served. The Houston Furniture Bank needs mattresses, tables and chairs, and it has a 75,000-square-foot warehouse as well as access to additional space for storage if needed.

To donate items, please contact Executive Director Oli Mohammed at 713-842-9771 or oli@houstonfurniturebank.org. More information is available at http://houstonfurniturebank.org/hfbharveyrecovery/.
