Furniture Brands Canada adds four sales reps, showroom manager

BRAMPTON, Ontario — Furniture Brands Canada has added four representatives to its sales team while naming a new manager to operate its showroom and office facility here.
The reps - Kasiha Buckland in Alberta, Isabelle Pelletier in eastern Ontario, Gord Peters in northern Ontario and Corrie-Ann Knell in Atlantic Canada - will be responsible for the sales and marketing of Broyhill and Lane branded product to retailers in their areas.
Sonia Sgarbosa has been named showroom and office manager.
The sales reps will report to John Power, national sales manager for the Lane and Broyhill divisions of Furniture Brands Canada, the Canadian subsidiary of St. Louis-based Furniture Brands International. Sgarbosa will report to Furniture Brands Canada president Mark Wiltshire.
"We enjoyed considerable growth over the past six months," Power said, adding that the new hires will give depth to the company's Canadian sales team, which now has 17 members. "Our goal is to grow our retail partners' business by strengthening our partnerships with them."
Furniture Brands Canada will participate in the Canadian Home Furnishings Market, which opens for its annual four-day run on Jan. 14.
