Justina Blakeney launches home performance fabrics at Calico Corners

blakeney fabricBlakeney said the new collection is well suited for everyday life.
NEW YORK CITY – Designer, artist and author Justina Blakeney has introduced a performance home fabric collection featuring technology by Crypton Home Fabric and offered exclusively at Calico Corners stores nationwide.

The collection of woven jacquards is based on Blakeney’s original artwork. The designer described the collection as having “soft textures, bold patterns and lush colors” in addition to being durable and stain-resistant.

Made in America by Valdese Weavers, the fabrics are engineered with Crypton’s home fabric technology designed for use in residential interiors. Every fiber is encapsulated to provide superior stain resistance, easy stain release and odor resistance that the company said will not wear out or wash away. Crypton Home fabrics are all Greenguard Gold certified for sustainability.

With a five-year-old at home, Blakeney said she understands the importance of being able to protect one’s furniture investment, and for all the homes she designs, she prefers spaces where nothing ever feels too precious for everyday life.
