Lynn J. Davis named board chairman at Flexsteel
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 15, 2011
DUBUQUE, Iowa — Flexsteel's board of directors has elected Lynn J. Davis, a board member since 1999, as board chairman of the furniture manufacturer and importer to replace the retiring L. Bruce Boylen.
Davis was president and chief operating officer of ADC Telecommunications, a manufacturer of hardware, software and services to broadband communications providers, until his retirement in 2001. He was a founding partner of Teak Capital Partners, a private equity firm in Minneapolis, and most recently was president and COO of August Technology, a supplier of inspection equipment to the semiconductor fabrication industry.
Boylen had chaired the Flexsteel board since 2000.
"Flexsteel has been very fortunate in the leadership provided by Mr. Boylen," said Ron Klosterman, the company's president and CEO. "Mr. Boylen's operational background and experiences at Fleetwood Enterprises, where he served as vice president of operations, have been intensely useful."
Klosterman added, "Mr. Davis' 28 years with ADC, as well as his subsequent employment, spanned a large range of executive positions. His extensive background in manufacturing, operations and acquisitions, and his enthusiasm, are great assets for us. We are looking forward to his leadership."
