Retailers make holiday furniture donations
Furniture Today Staff -- Furniture Today, December 23, 2011
HIGH POINT — Two Top 100 furniture retailers have brightened the Christmas season for some needy families and individuals.
Houston, Texas-based Gallery Furniture continued its 28-year holiday tradition of donating furniture. This year it donated items to 30-area families.
In addition, owners of six La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Northern California donated about $12,000 in furniture to a privately funded home for foster youth in Placer County.
Both examples show how the furniture industry continues to support people in their communities, particularly during the holiday season.
