DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Profit Management Promotions, a furniture sales promotion, liquidation and consulting company, has hired Barry Gevertz as a regional sales manager for the Western United States.
The company said Gevertz will focus on expanding the firm's business in the region, where PMP has seen new retail interest in its services.
As a second-generation owner of a 63-year-old family furniture retail business in the San Francisco Bay Area that chose to restructure, Gevertz said he understands the challenges furniture businesses face now. He also brings financial expertise to his new job, having begun his career as a CPA. PMP said he can help retailers "quickly analyze their current situation and develop proven strategies to increase sales and profits."
"Barry's experience and location were the primary factors in bringing Barry on board so that PMP can easily expand into the western U.S.," said Ron Cooper, director of sales and marketing for the company. "At PMP, Barry will be working with many types of full line furniture stores along with juvenile retailers - whether large or small - that are considering a high impact sales promotion in order to achieve their ultimate goals, while using the trusted methods PMP has used over the last 28 years."
